The Altitude Story since 2016
Altitude is the brainchild of Paul Halstead and Damian Procter, two avid enthusiasts in Melbourne’s Recruitment industry who worked together previously for several years. They wanted to perform recruitment in an ethical manner compared to the rest of the market and it was this vision that inspired them to establish Altitude in 2016 as a customer-centered, professional recruitment and advisory consultancy.
With Paul now following his passion for building automobile masterpieces, Altitude has continued to grow from strength to strength with Damian and a dedicated team of consultants, providing personalised recruitment services across a specialised range of roles.

Senior Recruitment Consultant
Katherine Navarro
Katherine is a Recruitment Consultant who specialises in Marketing, Data, Product & Design. She has exposure to working with startups, as well as medium to large enterprises.
Kat has an appreciation for the recruitment process and how much it has/can evolve. This has lead to her keen interest in upskilling her knowledge continuously and being up to date with both candidate and client trends. She is intentional with her efforts in providing the best talent and service.
When Kat is not working she enjoys lazing around watching her favourite show or playing video games whilst eating her favourite snacks.
Senior Recruitment Consultant
Daniel La Spina
Daniel is a Senior Recruitment Consultant who specialises in Finance & Accounting as well as Operations related positions. His expertise spans in areas such as business services accounting, tax advisory, corporate finance, strategy and consulting, restructuring and insolvency, mergers and aquisitions & back-office roles.
At Altitude, Daniel values strong relationships with clients and candidates, understanding the challenge in finding individuals who are both technically skilled and possess the right attitude to thrive in a public practice environment. His talent for headhunting hard-to-find candidates ensures tailored solutions for his clients’ needs. When Daniel is not at work, you can find him with his wife in a sandwich bar or catching a movie.
Recruitment Consultant
Lyka Asuelo
Lyka specialises in filling technical positions such as Software Developers & Engineers, Architects, Project Managers and Product Owners, utilising various sourcing channels to get the best talent. She collaborates with consultants to set realistic technical requirements.
Lyka has two wonderful kids and loves to spend time with them. She is a lover of nature. Lyka enjoys the calming beauty of the sea, mountain and sky. She is also an advocate for a healthy lifestyle.
Administration & Operations / Recruitment Consultant
Lourize Recio
Lourize collaborates with Senior Consultants, strategically using relevant sourcing channels to find the best talent for various opportunities.
A seasoned recruitment professional, she also brings to the team her broad experience in operations, assisting with the onboarding of new employees and managing the backend support and administration functions.
She loves spontaneous road trips, beach getaways, movie nights at home, and spending quality time with her family.
Recruitment Consultant
Deepthi Rangaraju
Deepthi is a Senior Consultant with extensive experience in and a passion for technical recruitment. A quiet achiever, she is driven by the pursuit of achieving results for challenging roles, meeting tight deadlines, and is highly capable of leading large recruitment campaigns for both contract and permanent recruitment. Deepthi’s specialisations are in recruiting for roles across Architecture, DevOps, Software Development & Testing.
Deepthi is a Mum of two and is the Founder of Care2Connect, a charity that aims to link people with disabilities to relevant services so they can live life to their fullest potential.
Social Media & Marketing Manager
Laura Ambrose
Laura is our Social Media & Marketing Manager. She specialises in collaborative marketing strategy development, streamlining operations for efficiency, and orchestrating end-to-end events to meet strategic goals.
Her expertise include; executing eCommerce campaigns, building robust advertising strategies, and leading end-to-end events management. When Laura is not working, she serves as a volunteer Board Member for a Cambodian not-for-profit organisation. She also enjoys dancing as well as spending time at the beach with her husband & dog (Hutch) with a gin and tonic in hand.
Managing Director
Damian Procter
Damian founded Altitude and is a recruitment enthusiast with a passion for helping his client and candidate community to achieve the best possible outcomes. He is also motivated by helping the community, specifically women and kids in technology.
Damian specialises in Firmware Engineering and Embedded Systems and also leads recruitment across Data Science, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning for our sister brand Halx.
Damian is a proud Dad to two adventurous kids.
